WONDERLITE® is a polycarbonate resin polymerized using the double hydroxy compounds of BPA (bisphenol-A) and the diphenylcarbonates of carbonate compounds with the transesterification (melting) method. It is manufactured by the state-of-the-art non-phosgene melt process.
This unique environmentally friendly process not only uses no toxic chemicals such as phosgene but also eliminates waste-water concerns compared to traditional polycarbonate production.
Additional benefits of this 'green' manufacturing process include superior 'flowability' compared to other polycarbonates with the same melt flow index (MFI) resulting in the potential for the reduction of melt temperatures and reduced mould deposit.
