MEDIPRENE TPE

Mediprene® Medical TPE compounds from HEXPOL TPE are suitable for a wide variety of uses in the medical and pharmaceutical market and new applications are being developed all the time.

Mediprene combines the performance of vulcanised rubber with the processing properties of thermoplastics, delivering sophisticated design opportunities through a wide and flexible range of products. Thermal and medical properties can be designed into the formulations and Mediprene TPE compounds are fully recyclable, thus fulfilling environmental requirements.

Mediprene Medical TPE compounds have proven to be strong alternatives as replacements for PVC. They are completely synthetic and latex-free thereby minimising allergy risks. The right TPE formulation is the key to a safe and sucessful medical product.

Mediprene TPE grades are based on raw materials that comply with the TPE related sections in the European Pharmacopeia, USP Class VI as well as ISO 10993 for medical components. Sterilisation is possible by ethylene oxide, electron accelerator irradiation, beta and gamma irradiation.
