Pneumatic Air Lines
Pneumatic air lines contain and carry compressed air for supplying to a variety of industrial usages including various pneumatic systems, power tools, breathing apparatus, and automotive applications. They are often made from polyamide (PA11 or PA12), which can be expensive and face supply problems. Hytrel® is a cost and supply effective solution.
The application requires flexible and high tensile strength polymers which will not burst under high air pressure: hard grades of Hytrel® are ideal.
Spotlight on Hytrel®:
- Harder grades of Hytrel® provide similar performance to PA11 / PA12
- Easy to extrude – less drying requirements
- Improved dimensional stability versus PA
- More readily available than PA11 / PA12
