AKROTEK PK

AKROTEK® PK, the polyketone with universal qualifications.

The special feature in the structure of the polyketone is the comonomer is CO (carbon monoxide), an industrial 'waste' gas, which forms an unusual product when bonding with the polymer. The terpolymer, which forms the basis of most AKROTEK® PK formulations when using the monomers ethylene and propylene, currently has the greatest significance.

AKRO-PLASTIC produces two product families from this base polymer (HM = normal flow and VM = very easy-flowing), based on the former portfolio of the Shell AG, from non-reinforced to high-glass-fibre reinforced standards, from flame-retardant to carbon-fibre reinforced custom grades.

In Europe, these these drinking water directives are regulated nationally, the most important ones include: In Germany KTW (Plastics in Drinking Water Contact) and DVGW (German Association of Gas and Water Supply eV), in France ACS (Attestation de conformité sanitaire) and in Great Britain WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme). AKROTEK PK grades are certified to each of these standards.
