Visico™ Polyolefin
Over the past 15 years the manufacture of crosslinked/scorch retardant polyethylene using silane copolymers (Visico™) has become widely established. Conventional extrusion plants, high line speeds, low scorch and excellent cable performance are important attributes. The Ambicat™ technology further develops it's potential as a hightly active tin-free catalyst system for the ambient curing of Visico™. The main application of Visico™ is in cable insulation for 1 kV underground, industrial and overhead cables. Other important applications are insulation for mains, telephone and automotive wires as well as track resistant floor heating and fire safety cables.
