Tefzel® ETFE
Tefzel® fluoropolymers are melt-processible thermoplastics. They are part of the DuPont family of fluorine-based products that includes Teflon® PTFE, Teflon® FEP, and Teflon® PFA fluoropolymer resins.
Tefzel® modified ETFE is less dense, tougher, stiffer, and exhibits a higher tensile strength and creep resistance than Teflon® PTFE and Teflon® FEP fluoropolymer resins.
Tefzel® is available as pellets, or as powder for rotational moulding. Applications for the family of resins include melt extrusion, injection moulding, transfer moulding, blow moulding, and rotational moulding. Tefzel® combines superior mechanical toughness with an outstanding chemical inertness that approaches that of Teflon® fluoropolymers resins.
Typical Tefzel® ETFE applications
