ASA is a copolymer of acrylonitrile, styrene, and acrylate rubber. Technically, ASA maintains the characteristics of ABS but by switching the rubber to acrylate rubber, ASA improves the weatherability considerably and makes a great leap to extend the applications of ABS, especially outdoors.
With over 30 years of experience in developing ABS products, Kibilac® inherits the good qualities and properties of Polylac® ABS. Weathering resistance, long-term stability, colour retention and good compatibility with PC/PVC all lead to a wider variety of potential applications and additionally Kibilac® ASA can offer cost saving and environmental advantages due to the reduced need for painting or electroplating of the final product.
